THE HERMITAGE
Sat origionally on a 105 acre site n Hopperston which is now present day Ho-Ho-Kus in
Bergen County NJ. An English Lawyer Henry Lane erected a home on that property in 1760
along with a Grist and Sawmill. It would eventually be graced with visits by Washington and
others and host the wedding of Aaron Burr to Theodosia'
In 1807 it was purchased by Elijah Rosengrant who scuptured it into it's present slpender.
