The Bergen County Historical Society and Historic New
Bridge Landing presently sits on 8 acres in River Edge, NJ
along the once heavily traded Hackensack River. It contains
5 structures of Dutch influenced building.
The Stuben House
was originally built
by John Zabriskie
a Mason in 1752
and expanded
upon, in 1765. It
received its name
when it was
purchased by
General Steuben
on December 24,
1784
.
The Demarest House
was built at or
around 1678 in New
Milford, NJ and
restored in 1937 by
the Demarest
Foundation
The Campbell
Christie House
was built by Jacob
Campbell on 1774
in New Milford, NJ
A copy of John R.
Demarest’s Out-
Kitchen in Demarest,
NJ. This authentic
out-kitchen was
replicated in 1990
using antique
materials, including
the beehive oven
and rear addition of
the  smoke room.
Westervelt-Thomas Barn. Was built in 1889 by Peter
J. Westervelt on his farm on Ridgewood Road in
Washington Township NJ.
