At approximately 1930hrs December 25 a chilly rain fell over the area of Celebration as friends , Police
Officers and family gathered in Columbia Park to pay a fond farewell an remembrance to Shawn and
Robert. Close to 150 people gathered at the event and stopped by through out the night to pay respect.
At close to the time of accident the company was called to attention to deliver a salute of respect as
tears filled many an eye. Donated wreaths were placed inside each memorial garden. It was a great
show of respect and love that I hope spreads to others in our community. The two Emergency Service
Vehicles bearing Robert's and Shawn's shield number were also brought to the scene. After the brief
ceremony the family was transported to the bridge for a water placement of wreaths.
